Just discovered this recording i had from 2016, and thought i'd upload it to complement my other diner recording on here (https://freesound. Org/people/edlundart/sounds/501025/). This is 4 and a half minutes of background noise from a new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff. Crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Recorded in 2016 with an iphone — don't let the recording device scare you, it sounds pretty good and certainly fine for this kind of background noise. Use it in any way you like for any purpose. Creepy but sweet music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. It starts full on with drums, bass and guitars and more. I added strings, piano and key-instruments for an eerie yet groovy vibe. In the drumbreak i let a flute do the talking. I believe this could be used for and intro/outro, something a bit scary, spooky, weird, thrilling, horrific, cool or anything you can think of. You'll be the judge. Pajarito it's the name of the song. What you hear are jacanas, the small traditional guitars used by jarocho's musicians, and one requinto guitar (and some kids laughing). Playing jaranas: elías meléndez, who i personally dubbed as "the muddy waters of son jarocho" -he passed away on 2017-; arturo barradas, leader of soneros del tesechoacan, a famous jarocho music band, and his son, young elías barradas. Playing the requinto guitar is adrián luna, who for many years was a member of the grammy awardees group los cojolites. Adrián luna's voice is on one song (el conejo) included in the soundtrack of the two oscars winner and internationally recognized movie frida (2002). This is not the most traditional bamba i could remember, but be sure it's really a good one. Laura cambrón, a californian native, is the singer. She also composed the lyrics, this time dedicated to the great césar chávez. Recorded in san francisco, ca. April 1, 2011. I used a h2 zoom.

I was waiting for a person at the conservatory of venice and i decided to step out on the terrace and trying a field recording. I was at the last floor of a tall building, you can hear people talking on the ground floor, music coming out from classrooms. Recorded with a zoom h1 without windshield, unfortunately there is some wind and handling noises.
